I absolutely love Eddie Love’s work. With his amazing use of bold and vibrant color, there’s a notable influence and inspiration from Basquiat in his work, while still being wildly creative and original.
Self-described as an “outsider”, Eddie uses that perspective to be motivational and blunt in his art. The descriptions of his paintings are often brutally honest and raw, sometimes speaking of failed relationships and other harsh influences on his art.
It’s rare for me to like all of the work of the same artist, but other than his use of skulls, which I’m just personally not a fan of, the rest of his work is absolutely outstanding.
