GalerieStein takes inspiration from and dedicates its space to its namesake, Gertrude Stein, the American novelist, poet, playwright, and art collector.
Raised in the United States, Stein moved to Paris in 1903 and made France her home. She hosted a Paris salon, where the leading figures of modernism in literature and art would meet, including Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sinclair Lewis, Ezra Pound, Sherwood Anderson, and Henri Matisse.
GalerieStein is a modern but humble adaptation of this salon, with space featuring contemporary abstract expressionists both online at GalerieStein.com and within our gallery in Montreal.
We specialize in signed and numbered limited edition prints of globally recognized artists and their most popular works. The artists we represent are internationally celebrated, with works displayed in galleries and private collections around the world.
